Admiral Byrd fliegt am 19. Februar 1947 mit seiner Militärmaschine über die Arktis und gelangt dabei versehentlich ins Innere der Erde, wo er zu seiner größten Überraschung und Verwunderung, auf eine fremde Zivilisation trifft, von der er eine äußerst wichtige Botschaft an die irdische Menschheit überbringen soll.

So steht es jedenfalls auf den wenigen Seiten seines bekannten Buches "Das Tagebuch des Admiral Byrd", in welchem er im Geheimen schrieb, was er auf seiner überraschenden Reise in die hohle Erde erlebte, und aus dem ich hier vorlese.

So erstaunlich dieses Abenteuer auch erscheint, noch erstaunlicher ist, daß umfangreichen Dokumentationen und Zeitzeugnissen entnommen werden kann, daß er zur selben Zeit in die militärische "Operation Highjump", am Südpol, eingebunden war.

Doch wie hoch der Wahrheitsgehalt auch sein mag ... zumindest ist eine gute und faszinierende Geschichte, die allemal zum Denken anregt.
