Admiral Byrd fliegt am 19. So erstaunlich dieses Abenteuer auch erscheint, noch erstaunlicher ist, daß umfangreichen Dokumentationen und Zeitzeugnissen entnommen werden kann, daß er zur selben Zeit in die militärische "Operation Highjump", am Südpol, eingebunden war.

Doch wie hoch der Wahrheitsgehalt auch sein mag ... zumindest ist eine gute und faszinierende Geschichte, die allemal zum Denken anregt.
