Tiktok is part of a Chinese military operation to groom children in the West into depressed, addicted, unproductive people. At the same time, it is a paradise for pedophiles. Many countries in the East, on the other hand, heavily regulate Tiktok, or ban it completely.
In China itself, the app is usable for children up to 14 years old for only 40min a day. From 10pm to 6am, it is completely blocked for everyone.
TikTok is banned in India because the government has declared the app a threat to the country's security and integrity.
The US, under Trump, had also banned TikTok in 2020. Then-U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said users should not download TikTok if they "don't want to see their private information in the hands of the Chinese Communist Party."
Joe Biden had lifted that ban in June 2021.
